Bobbio, your presumtuous arrogance preceeds your ignorance! It negates your judgements. In fact you use it to deflect from commenting on the research findings like the MRI's that I was referring to. Pity!

The discussion was about MRI of female brains taken during self gratification and demonstrating the neural activity locations in the subject's brain leading up to, during and after orgasm! It is some ground breaking new information and changes the widely held views shown to be greatly inaccurate! Oh, now I get the connection....YOU ARE BAD!

I wouldn't mind being a spam killer. But, you bring up an interesting point I've brought up before. The name of this forum is cagematch. A heated debate would be fine with me. In fact, KD sometimes deliberately baited me and took contrary points even when he didn't truly disagree or disagreed but far less strongly, just to get the hit count higher.

Your standard here definitely rules me out. If I find that someone consistently fails to back up what they say, I will call them on it.

Why is Dvorak Uncensored censored? Why is CageMatch intended to be so civil? Shouldn't we rename the forum to Tiddly Winks?

I know the rules are more stringent here and John C. Dvorak does not want his name associated with anything run under rules like mine. But, then why call the blog uncensored? Why call the forum CageMatch? And, why not argue as adults, sometimes heatedly, sometimes not? If someone is consistently full of B.S., why not say "you're full of it"? I bet I can find some examples of KD doing so, though he was probably careful not to actually curse.

Anyway, I certainly wouldn't mind taking a stint blocking spammers and deleting spam. But, you won't catch me chiding someone for cursing or censoring their comments. If I think their comment is asinine, I will say so. I would not delete it except in the most extreme cases, such as inciting to violence. I have never had to delete or modify any non-spam comment on my own blog.

I may not agree with what someone says, but will defend to my death their right to publicly make an ass of him/herself.

To many people have different connotations of words.  Being an asshole, to one person, is as bad as being a hemorrhoid symptom, may your mirror reflect the south end of a north bound Donkey, and you pucker up and kiss it each day..
IO dont mind a few bad words when needed to express yourself.  But every other word, without expressing the meaning of what is trying to be expressed is like saying, 'Ya Know' every other word.

 Having been born in the Oil Patch, durign WW2 and growing up in a culture of creative cursing, I rue that it is becoming a lost art form! I realize that various echelons of society frown on and discriminate against those of us with a "Salty" vocabulary! But they can just go practice sex and travel simulatneously, vigorously! Ye olde Anglo epithet is recognized World wide, and is very sussinct. So if those of you who can't tolerate such direct suggestion, you are welcome to drink a cup of that good old Italian soup: PISSONYA!

Agreed. But, I'm not going to delete someone's comment just for saying something stupid like F the Fing Fer. I'd rather make him/her (oh let's face it, him) look as stupid as he is. I also can't claim that I have never cursed anyone out online. Before I knew Dvorak Censored was indeed censored, I called someone an a-hole and linked the word to the goatse image. So, when I get mildly p-o-ed, I can be pretty bad too. When I get seriously p-o-ed, I usually get ultra formal in my writing.

Either way though, if a moderator has to stick strictly to the etiquette, or worse, enforce draconian rules on others, I'm out.
