A couple of points:
-Greece has over 15 billion dollars worth of uncollected taxes. That is part of the problem, that put them in the mess they are in
-governments at all levels should not be allowed to borrow. If a project or service is genuinely required, then tax for it now. This borrowing on future taxes is a scheme to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. If the rich had to invest only in the private sector, then they would have to do their due diligence and industry would have more money available at cheaper rates to build and operate their businesses. Loaning to governements is negative wealth distribution!
Furthermore, government infrastructure built from taxes only is cheaper since it eliminates the borrowing costs, hence less taxes have to be levied in the long run! Go figure!
