The loss of freedom that largely started on 9/11/01 was principally due to the war on terror. It appears that we may have won that war. Lightning kills more people annually in the US than terrorism.

It's time to back away from the police state mentality that gave us the TSA and concentrate on the real threats to Americans- the bad economy, the greed of the banking class, the future of energy resources, pollution and environmental degradation, and the lawlessness and atrocities engendered by our now misguided war on drugs. The pundit class has their knickers in a twist over the atrocities in Syria, but seem to ignore the truckloads of corpses continually turning up in Mexico. The violence has been spilling over our borders for quite some time, yet we continue to misdirect our resources to the other side of the world.

for all the money we have paid out over the years, the WAR should be free.

So much money has been spent on War, Security, stupid tech, OVER PRICED CRAP, FIXING stuff in planes that SHOULD have been fixed long ago..(waiting for a bathroom in the Pilots cab)(and a meal slot)(cabin seats that have builtin Crappers)

Part of this problem is that in the so called "Free World", the media have distorted and continue to warp public opinion regards what are genuine threats, and pragmatic solutions. And don't discount the pressures on the media from the deep pocket corporate advertisers, either! In fact we need to tell the newsmen what we accept as news, not propaganda!
The solution is I think we need digital feed back from the public plus digital ratification of government laws/programs passed in the legislatures!
In fact, We the People need to regain control of our politicians before we lose all our rights and freedoms. And the best way is by QUARTERLY RATIFICATION VOTING AND RECALL on all major spending, and policy bills INMNSHO!!!!
