Yes, I have not been able to post all day, three times I got rejected.

And speaking of "spam karma", the activation e-mail for this new account ended up in the bulk folder

Two of my rejections came on Opera 9. 2, but I tried on IE 7 and got rejected there too.

Yowser, I'm having continual problems posting on the Dvorak blog.      It doesn't matter what I type, it won't let me post.

Here is what I tried to post 3 separate times on Dvorak Uncensored - Can cell phones be behind the great bee die-off?  I am using IE7 and have posted here many times before without a problem. :)

There is another bee diappearance theory,  that the 250 HZ signals being pumped out of GWEN stations all over America are causing the bees to deviate fatally from their courses.  I don't know if it is true, but read about it here:

http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/sepp/2007/03/06/millions_of_bees_die_are_electromagnetic_signals_to_blame.htm

and here:

Magnetic field (MF) bursts at a frequency of 250 Hz oriented parallel to the field-lines of the EMF induce unequivocal jumps of misdirection of up to +10°. The regression of burst intensity (BI in; for a range of 10–1400) and the size of the induced jumps of misdirection (DMID in angular degrees) follow the equation: DMID= –1+ln BI. Compensation (<5% of the total intensity) of the EMF, continuous 250 Hz fields and bursts perpendicular to the static MF have no effect. The effects described are discussed from the point of view of magnetic resonance.

http://www.springerlink.com/content/v6406173767q7445/

You tell me what's going on.

The above comments will not post and I keep getting the erroneous message below.  If I was posting a comment about my new chocolate chip cookie recipe I probably would not be that upset, but this bee story is rather important. :o

I am consistently being blocked as a suspected spammer.   I am using Mozilla Firefox 2. 0. 0. 3.   I have never posted links to anything.

I think it is getting better and a lot of the rejected comments have been recovered and posted. I also updated Spam Karma.

Just in case this didn't make it through on the blog,
I'm using Firefox version 2.  0.  0.  3 and Norton AntiVirus version 14.  0.  3.  3
(Funny how it sticks in the spaces after the periods.  )

Now that I understand what's happening, I'm not frustrated anymore with the process of fixing Spam Karma.

I usually post with Firefox 2.0.0.3 in Ubuntu Linux. I also tried with an XP Home machine using IE whatever the new one is... and also XP Pro with Firefox.

I used new machines, new IPs, new NICs, new everything and nothing fixed the problem. That ought not to have happened and it  was very, very puzzling!

ON THE OTHER HAND, after reading the Spam Karma web pages I have discovered a likely source of my particular problem.

To increase speed on the 'Net, I always use the transparent proxies provided by my ISP. There are several proxies provided by Shaw Cable in different cities in different time zones and I switch from proxy to proxy, depending on the time of day and which of the proxies increases my speed the most.

I would have seriously considered a potential problem with an anonymous proxy because yes, I imagine spammers use them but I never imagined a transparent proxy would cause any such problem. After reading the explanations on the Spam Karma page, I have a feeling the proxies might be at least part of the problem.

I'm going to stop using the proxies and see if that helps.

By the way, thanks for the serious concern shown by Mr. Dvorak and crew! Obviously someone had to work over the weekend... For what it's worth, I appreciate it.

Well, it's Monday and I still can't post.         Some of my post have eventually made it on the blog but not all of them.         I still get the famous:

Sorry, but your comment has been flagged by the spam filter running on this blog: this might be an error, in which case all apologies.         Your comment will be presented to the blog admin who will be able to restore it immediately.
You may want to contact the blog admin via e-mail to notify him.

And on this forum, could you please kill the function where it adds a space after a period? Whenever I preview a post (which I always do so that it doesn't come out gibberish) it adds another space.         And when I post it, it adds another space and eventually, I have to go through the whole message and edit out all the extra spaces before I post it.

Thanks

(This time I didn't edit out the spaces.   .   .    I think you'll get the idea.   )

I was able to post on the False Positives with Spam Karma topic this afternoon, so hopefully that problem is now resolved. :)

Everything I post on the main page with my user name of jccalhoun gets flagged as spam.   Nearly everything else I try to post with a made up user name gets flagged.   I've tried IE7, Firefox, opera, XP and OSX both from home and from the IU campus.   nothing gets through regardless if I put in a gmail address or my campus email or my website url or not.
