The Christ was titled by christianity
« on: September 04, 2007, 10:10:58 AM » by santi
the Title Christ comes from the Greek God Christos which has profound pagan origin.       there was no need to title Jesus the Christ when in Hebrew the Anionted is the word Messiah and  the word Christ does not mean anionted but a pagan Deity.       Unfortunately Christianity has just brush it off and continue to use this title which is so Horrible to one of histories most gentle personage.  As time went on their excuse was that in Greek the  substitute for Messiah was Christ when in Latin is "Mesia" and I mean Italian, there is no excuse to offend the image of one of histories greatest personage.

What do you say?! I would like to know?

WOW,
someone that has really looked into it...
even looking back at history, its interesting the the First contentions in the religion was from THOSE who believed in it.
EACH had been taught from each of the Followers of christ and carried his words to others.  so you had 12 groups all contending that the teachings they had were from Christ, but could not agree on WHAT WAS'.
So all the heads of the religion gather together and made up the rules.

Fun aint it?

those groups actually had a spiritual experience either with a vision of the Christ appearing to them or a dream of the same manner.     The Christ has baffled scholars for centuries because their isn't enough solid evidence putting The Christ at the time of pilot, or the Roman era.   The Historian Josephus' works where known to be tampered with by Christians  worrying about the creditability of the Christ, with all this said.  Was the Christ one person all many different experiences through out the ages?, was he the son of God?, I'm amaze that the religious right aren't jumping on replies to this topic or is the Truth to tough to handle, when the ball is not on your side!

People who talk directly to God, are not interested in history. I saw a show on The Discovery Times channel the other night about serial killers who hear voices telling them to commit murder. Of course, there's a huge argument about whether they really hear these voices or are just setting themselves up for an insanity defense. Psychiatrists who work with them are convinced that they are hearing voices, and can now show the unusual brain activity that causes these voices. Many if not all of these killers are from Christian families. If one believes the voice in ones head is the voice of God, I don't care if you commit murder or not, I'd say you are in pretty serious trouble. Where there is a massive cult of people validating and encouraging auditory hallucination, there is wide scale insanity. I don't think we can rely on the judgement of such people to safely drive a car, never mind vote responsibly in an election that effects all of our futures.
