A smart marketing department for a change?

My grandfather was commenting about the MVP winning a Cadillac but I don't recall hearing anything during the post game about the car. Of course he picked the best of the best offered but after the entire bailout and other news about the grander projects that other companies bailed out by the government put on. I can understand that contracts require fulfillment but keeping them low key is a very good idea right now.

Here's more info:

General Motors has very quietly awarded Santonio Holmes of the Pittsburgh Steelers a new Cadillac for being named Super Bowl MVP.

Cadillac has for eight years given the game's most valuable player the car of his choice, and Holmes went all out, picking a 2009 Escalade Platinum Hybrid with a sticker price of $85,200.

The Steelers wide receiver is the sixth MVP to pick an Escalade, but in a stark contrast with past years, it went unmentioned during the post-game festivities and news conference. According to the New York Daily News, Cadillac didn't want the attention.

Small wonder they didn't want any attention, since it was the taxes of poor and middle class Americans paying $85,200 to provide a multi-millionaire with another gas guzzling vehicle he most likely doesn't need and could care less about receiving.

The world is a strange, backwards, upside-down place sometimes...

Considering the price of seats in the game, which is stupid to Asinine, the MVP had to get something..
the WHOLE team should have gotten something..
