Is this a glimpse into the future of the electric automobile?

Once you have read the article be sure to read the comments from the "informed" peanut gallery! They tend to put the media hype into perspective!

Watched the video, and I want to see the track/road they used..

I read most of the comments.
And good or bad, there are a few mis-conceptions that I have seen.
1. caps and batteries havnt been EXPLORED for along time.
WE found what WORKED and stopped looking for BETTER.

2. we have discussed before.
ELECTRICAL TECH, of out power grid.  Is about 40+ years behind in most areas of the USA.  IF its not broken they WONT fix/improve it.
They wont even ADD to the infrastructure of SUPPLY of power, because it would LOWER the costs and make a BIDDING MARKET.  THEn we wouldnt have to SAVE POWER and become efficient..

3. Practicality??  RANGE, battery disposal, TIME of return of $ on product...
There are things that COST more in Electric cars..the TECH is out there, NOW to put it all together..FORBID that we walk on someones TOES over copyrights.  insted of using PROVEN TECH thats copyrighted, we would rather RE-MAKE the wheel..ANYTHING NOT to pay copyrights..

One of us missed something. I thought this was a hybrid, not an electric.

To the best of my knowledge the ZENN is purely electric. It is mfg in Canada, but not road legal here. Transport Canada refuses it because it is not built to the crash resistant standards, and cannot reach the posted speed limits in most cities.

If you want a fuel efficient machine, with loads of acceleration, and lots of pizzazz? then the T-Rex made in Quebec is what you should look at redesigning into an automotive from motorcycle category. I have seen one in heavy Sunday afternoon traffic on the 401 expressway in Toronto. I got 3 photos while we trapped in the stop and go. Then that Quebecuer got an opening and was gone like it was jet propelled. It accelerates second only to one other brand. The designer is an aeronautical engineer and used tubular Aluminum and Titanium. If it was fully enclosed it would sell better for our climate. The price tag is well up there with the expensive sports cars, but out performs them in many ways. Google the T-Rex for the videos!
