CEO Steve Jobs at least is looking to be innovative and aggressiveApple Inc. seems to be the only tech stock with the kind of support that can take it back to precrisis prices with little effort. If Steve Jobs can stay alive and finish the currently rumored notepad computer, I see no reason why the stock can't get to $200 or higher.
The big questions about Apple are over its September event, which insiders now believe will include a refresh of the iPod line with a lot of Beatles fluff, including releases, rereleases and remasterings of various Beatles albums, along with the often promised Beatles "theme" iPod. The giveaway is that the event will occur on Sept. 9, 2009 -- like the "No. 9" riddle in the screwy Beatles song.
The company is also rolling out on Friday a performance revamp of the Mac OS, which has received a lot of attention. The Apple "I'm a Mac" advertisements also have been refreshed.
