http://www.cpubenchmark.net/index.phpIm sorry, But Stats can be miss leading.
I cant see why MS hasnt jumped and started using a Parallel processed Hardware and Software.
Go to Youtube, Start a video and PAUSE IT..
Look at your CPU usage..IT SHOULDNT be using much. It should be CACHING the video, not running it thru the CPU. It should go direct to RAM or Hard drive. THEN when played, MAYBE the CPU is used. If not, storing VIDEO DRIVERS on the VIDEO card USE the video CARD to run the movie/video..FORGET using the OS.
Let the VIDEO card hold your DESKTOP..SET the desktop INDEPENDENTLY with the video card...NOT using the OS..yes the OS must know HOW to, but after its setup, there is little action, and you can SAVE tons of CPU cycles from MOVING 1 shortcut or icon..
If the Audio card was the same, then you could Sync the video and AUDIO card to play a movie... and the CPU would have little to do...Lip sync problems WOULDNT OCCUR..
Windows handling ALL the graphics is STUPID, and takes 90% of the processing power of the CPU FOR GRAPHICS.. USE the video card... These changes alone would accelerate the system 10 times..
Why are we paying for OLD TECH..This stuff was outdated in 1985. 20+ years ago..
DirectX is a sham...as the Video makers havnt REALLY made anything NEW. They are adding things that SHOULD have been AVAILABLE 10 years ago but MADE the cards SLOW.
MS is FORCING them to UPGRADE because, INSTED of having THEIR OWN VIDEO DRIVERS direct to the CARD, the mkers have to make a Driver that WORKS with DirectX.. EVEN if the card can OUT perform DirectX its limited to WHAT MS has added to DirectX.
We are paying tons of money for OLD tech..and no advances..
