Number of companies appear dead in the waterThis is a column expressing a gut feeling, and the gut feeling is that the run-up in tech stocks is over.
Since March, tech investors should have noticed a good return on their investments, provided they climbed on the right companies.
Now, however, some stocks stand out like a sore thumb. I wouldn't only be on the sideline, I'd consider shorting them. These include Palm Inc., Juniper Networks Inc., Sandisk Corp., Yahoo Inc., Motorola and plenty of others.
I'm sorry, but I'm in the middle of Silicon Valley and I'm not seeing any reason to be in these stocks, or those dozens of other companies that are treading water -- at least for now.
