  Google's Opt Out Program
« on: October 15, 2009, 02:54:51 AM » by Breetai

This about made me laugh so hard I was crying.

"If you have any questions about the Google Village Type them in an Email to a friend and Google will get back to you within 24 hours."    Shocked

Okay I surrender now Google is our benevolent evil overlord.

Too true to be good. For another way to opt out, try another mail server, possibly something classic like panix.com. And, for searches, http://ixquick.com claims to not keep any information about you. Their search engine may not be as good, but is better than the opt out box.

Personally, I like internet safety and do take some precautions, but am not so paranoid as to attempt to avoid the ubiquitous google, despite the misspelling in their name (should have been googol, of course).
