Politics Central / Bushwhacker / Re: Debating a Bush 3rd term...

Great topic, because the exercise of the debate shows how powerful Bush's posse is and how weak the left is.
For this to happen, the Constitution would have to be changed. There's plenty of time for this change to happen before the next Presidential election, and enough Republican controlled states to push the change through.
On the flip side, the left has been unable to form a single message for years now. Their only hope would be for the public to see this action as "the last straw". But is that likely? We've had so many topics that could have been the last straw that weren't: What's so drastic about this one? Is changing the Constitution enough when so many other things haven't been enough?
Should he be elected to a third term? Of course not. Will he? Nope. Is it within the realm of possibility? Yes, and that should make us all nervous.

The Tech Section / DIY / Re: What do you think about building your own computer?

I look at this from a different point of view. Building your own computer really helps increase your knowledge of how a PC works. People who have this level of understanding tend not to lose it, and it helps them with other computer related tasks (on both the hardware and software levels).
I'd encourage everyone to build at least one... then E-Bay it and buy a MacBook Pro. |
