This Dog Is For Sale - Just Kidding!

Click photo for larger version.

  • Free to good home.
  • Excellent guard dog.
  • Owner cannot afford to feed him anymore because there are no more thieves, murderers or molesters left in the neighborhood for him to eat…
  • Most of them knew him, for a short time, as ‘Holy Shit!’

That dog looks sweet and cuddly, not scary at all. Presumably, the girl was asked to get in the photo "for scale'. BTW, with a moderately wide angle photo like that, it is possible that the dog's head would not look so large if the girl's head were as close to the camera as the dog's.

If she sells that dog by the pound, she should make a fortune.

Reminds me of a great quote from Curly, the tough cattle driver in the movie "City Slickers:"

"I crap biggern' you."

Yeah, if that dog crapped in your yard, you'd need a Bobcat to clean it up.

(Not the animal Scott.)

If I bought that dog, I'd need a much larger apartment and there'd be a bunch of local, full grown black bears, quivering in their caves. I'm not even going to try to imagine the shock effect on cats.

Photoshopped?  Back part of the pooch looks ragged to me...

I don't think so, it's probably just the res.  The only things not ragged in the photo are vertical / horizontal lines.  I've seen pit bulls very near this size, whose toys were bricks.

I do a lot in Photoshop. The photo looks genuine, but has been over processed for resolution and sharpness. That will cause those artifacts. Shadows look good and would be difficult to fake in a composite. There may be some perspective distortion from a wide angle lens.

You know, I hadn't actually considered the name of the breed with due care and attention. Thanks for the fresh perspective.
